Broadridge is looking for a motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – Quality Assurance Specialist (Automation) to support testing initiatives across multiple projects, ensuring high-quality software delivery in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Academic or professional experience with object-oriented programming (Java, C-Sharp, Python, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Rest Assured API Framework is a plus.
  • Familiarity with test automation concepts or tools such as Selenium or Cucumber.
  • Experience with databases such as SQL for working with test data.
  • Experience with version control systems such as GIT, Issue Tracking software such as JIRA is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks and scripts that enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Create and manage test data sets for functional and regression testing.
  • Participate in early-stage project discussions to help define test strategy, planning, and scope.
  • Develop and maintain detailed test plans, cases, and documentation to support ongoing QA efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Development teams to identify, document, and help resolve defects.
  • Support vendor-related QA activities, including data validation, issue tracking, and communication of results.
  • Ensure all QA activities comply with Broadridge standards and best practices for software quality.

  • Work Mode: This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be coming into the Newark, NJ or EDGEWOOD, Long Island office 2 days a week and given the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.

  • A curious mindset, willingness to learn, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
