Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Manufacturing systems engineering under Project Kuiper Prod-Ops is responsible for delivering software and frameworks that improve speed and quality of testing of satellite components.
Requirements
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- programming languages like python, rust or java
- familiar with AWS cloud services along with software & hardware interfaces
- AWS infrastructure and services such as Lambda, IAM, SNS/SQS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IoT etc.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of software development lifecycle from requirements to implementation and deployment to operations.
- Design flexible solutions for complex problems with multiple unknowns with exceptional performance & reliability.
- Integrate the software solutions that interface with test chambers, test racks & satellite components.
- Utilize AWS infrastructure and services such as Lambda, IAM, SNS/SQS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IoT etc.
- building software development kits, creating mock services and simulators, add integrations with industry standard tools such as Test stand and Labview.
- hands on experience in programming languages like python, rust or java and is familiar with AWS cloud services along with software & hardware interfaces.
