Fiserv is looking to transform financial services technology to benefit their clients by designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mainframe applications.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
- 6+ years of experience in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
- 6+ years of experience with mainframe utilities, performance tuning, and debugging tools.
- 6+ years of experience with batch and online transaction processing systems
- 1+ year of experience with Fiserv applications and systems.
- Knowledge of mainframe modernization strategies (e.g., API integration, migration to distributed systems)
- Exposure to CI/CD concepts in a mainframe environment
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of mainframe-based applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into COBOL/JCL/CICS/DB2 technical specifications.
- Perform coding, testing, and debugging of mainframe programs to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Maintain and improve existing mainframe codebases, optimize batch and online processes, and lead peer review processes.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on mainframe best practices to enhance team capabilities.
