The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Development Engineering Manager to join the E-7 Software Development team to support the Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS&B) division. This role will manage teams responsible for software development activities of mission systems software for the E-7A Wedgetail, including production software, research and development, and internal applications.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- 2+ years of experience leading or managing software engineering activities
- Experience with software architecture and software implementation
- Knowledge of and experience working in embedded software engineering aerospace environments
Responsibilities
- Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Software Engineering
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
- Experience with software architecture and software implementation
- Knowledge of and experience working in embedded software engineering aerospace environments
