Apple is looking for an Engineering Manager for Declarative Device Management to lead a team responsible for the technology that enables device management tools from both Apple and third-party partners to remotely manage millions of Apple devices every day, driving innovation while developing talent and delivering critical infrastructure.
Requirements
- 3+ years of engineering management experience leading iOS, macOS, or systems-level development teams
- 7+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in Swift or Objective-C
- Proven track record of shipping complex software products and frameworks
- Deep understanding of Apple development technologies including CoreData, libdispatch, XPC
- Experience with concurrent programming, multi-threading, and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with MDM, Declarative Device Management, or similar enterprise mobility solutions
Responsibilities
- Drive technical strategy and architecture decisions for declarative device management features and infrastructure
- Collaborate with product management, design, and cross-functional engineering teams to define roadmaps and deliver innovative solutions
- Balance technical debt with feature development while maintaining high code quality standards
- Participate in hands-on technical work including code reviews, architecture discussions, and critical problem-solving
- Foster an inclusive team culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation across multiple concurrent initiatives
