Milliman is looking to develop a web application and needs interns to contribute to its development, gaining exposure to modern web technologies and contributing to real-world production systems.
Requirements
- Experience with REST APIs and JavaScript
- Familiarity with C-Sharp and/or databases (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the web UI of our core application using React, integrating with C-Sharp, ASP.NET Core, and web APIs, in collaboration with QA and senior developers.
- Collaborate on developing features that are released to and used by real-world production systems
- Contribute to day-to-day coding, debugging, testing, and team meetings, ensuring high-quality implementation and alignment with project goals.
- Gain exposure to additional technologies such as Microsoft Azure, and other modern web tools, with opportunities to present progress and findings to the broader team.

- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Demonstrated academic and/or professional progress in software development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to balance independent work with effective teamwork.
- Can complete project deliverables, meet deadlines, and ensure compliance with quality procedures
- Self-motivated individuals with a sense of intellectual curiosity and a results-oriented work ethic.
- This internship is a full-time seasonal position that requires significant time commitment and is not typically completed at the same time as college coursework.
- Our interns are available to work during standard business hours (8:30a – 5p, Monday – Friday) and willing to work extended full-time hours (at least 37.5+ hours per week).
- Hybrid work arrangements (3 days per week in the office) provide you with the opportunity for in-person connection with your colleagues and a larger intern cohort.
- Candidates hired into this role will be required to work in-person in the Milliman office in Chicago, IL on a weekly basis, but flexible work arrangements will be considered.
