Qualtrics is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead its Voice team, which builds services and tools to load and transcribe over 1M calls per day for hundreds of customers. The goal is to scale across data volumes, data centers, spoken languages, and user audiences.
Requirements
- Technical leadership or management of a team of software developers ranging from graduate level to senior engineers
- Strong background and technical capabilities in object-oriented design and development using modern programming languages (Typescript, Golang, Python)
- Experience in full stack development and frameworks (React, Node.js)
- Expertise in building and scaling distributed systems
- Expertise in AWS cost management and optimization
- Proven record of delivering enterprise software
Responsibilities
- Author the Northstar vision and roadmap for the team and create quarterly plans that accrue to that vision
- Instill best practices for the software development lifecycle and operations across the team
- Maintain active expertise in the telephony, transcription, and high-scale processing spaces, as well as understanding the industry for these domains
- Influence the way that engineers at Qualtrics build software through best-in-class tooling and services
- Creating trust and influence across engineering teams through direct and transparent communication
- Establishing productive working relationships with other platform teams, customers, and subject matter experts
- Continuously seeking opportunities to innovate and move fast to deliver new features and capabilities
