B&A is seeking a Software Development Manager to support a major enterprise system implementation for a state government client, the Illinois Tollway, focused on delivering a next-generation Tolling Back Office System (TBOS) that integrates roadside systems, customer service, financial processing, and business intelligence.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing software development for a project of similar scope and complexity.
- Strong background in enterprise systems, preferably in tolling, transportation, or customer service domains.
- Experience with secure coding practices, PCI/PII compliance, and integration with third-party systems.
- Familiarity with tools and methodologies for automated testing, defect tracking, and performance monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Lead the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for all TBOS components, ensuring alignment with business rules and functional requirements.
- Oversee database design, integration, and optimization for performance, scalability, and security.
- Manage code transport across environments, version control, and rollback capabilities.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and quality assurance protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver GUI components optimized for usability, speed, and accessibility.
- Document all customizations and modifications for audit and compliance purposes.
- Support testing phases including unit, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
