Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. (TABS) is looking to build the next generation web services and applications, leading Internet of Things (IoT) efforts within Toshiba, and develop products and services in the cloud using Microsoft Azure.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Agile SDLC methodologies and implementation of process best practices to deliver high-quality software products.
- Experience with C-Sharp, ASP.net and MVC.
- SQL experience is valuable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/ Outlook and PowerPoint).
- Experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience hiring and building a team of software engineers, growing their skills and capabilities by providing guidance and coaching to team members on technical contributions.
- Knowledge of software technology trends.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of software engineers. Mentor team members to help them develop their skills and experience.
- Provide guidance and coaching to team members on technical contributions through code and design reviews.
- Manage planning, design, implementation and maintenance of assigned engineering projects.
- Break down projects and requirements into organized tasks to be assigned to and completed by developers.
- Collaborate with other managers to ensure plans and schedules continue to fit within the overall product development context.
- Prepare and present project proposals, schedules, manpower and cost estimates for all assigned development areas.
- Monitor and report on the development and implementation of projects, reviewing and evaluating interim results for quality and technical completeness.
Other
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree.
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant computer industry experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to collaborate with Team Members.
- Ability to travel overseas.
- 2 years of experience in an engineering management, project lead or a role providing heavy work direction to less senior engineers.
