Requirements
- Strong software development skills with a focus on scientific instrumentation, knowledge of spectroscopy techniques desired.
- Proficient with Microsoft development environments including C-Sharp and the .NET Framework; experience with multi-threaded development is desirable.
- Experience in leading software projects and teams.
- Background in both software engineering and spectroscopy.
- Experience with Agile process.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example and guide a software development team that focuses on building and implementing software for our spectroscopy products.
- Develop software solutions for instrument integration and multi-dimensional chemical analysis techniques.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams, involving hardware engineers, scientists, and product managers, to define software requirements and specifications.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in spectroscopy and software development technologies and integrate them into our products.
- Ensure that software solutions are robust, scalable, and meet the needs of our customers and collaborators.
Other
- BS / MS degree in computer science, engineering, chemistry, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in multidisciplinary product and/or software development environment, with 3+ years in a managerial/leadership role.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work within a matrix organization to achieve goals and gain alignment from key partners.
- Ability to use data and metrics to identify and solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
