Audible's Personalization (P13n) group needs to define, design, and refine technology to keep them ahead of listeners by assisting customers in discovering their next great listen through personalized interactions, surfacing relevant recommendations across all surfaces and marketplaces.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience of software development and deployment of distributed multi-tier applications
- Experience with Personalization technology
- Experience in a variety of technologies and platforms such as Java/J2EE
- Experience implementing solutions leveraging AWS capabilities
- Experience leveraging machine learning models to deliver insights and enrich customer experiences
- Track record of defining and delivering cross functional solutions that are innovative and extensible

- Lead the delivery of large cross-functional projects, spanning teams and divisions within Audible and Amazon
- Contribute to the definition of technical architectures
- Demonstrate technical expertise, attention to detail, and proactivity in identifying and resolving issues
- Continuously strive to improve project execution performance, setting new benchmarks using objective metrics

- Experience leading software development teams
- 3+ years experience managing agile software projects across multiple teams
- Collaborate to define core business objectives, ensuring efficient utilization of company resources for the best product, program, or project outcomes
- Manage multiple projects from concept to launch, working with cross-functional teams including technology, business, and operations, even when faced with conflicting priorities
- Maintain consistent and transparent communication of project risks, progress, launches, and retrospectives to all stakeholders and teams
- Actively mentor and develop junior team members, enhancing their skills, knowledge of our systems, and ability to achieve results
