PayPal's Merchant Engineering team is looking to simplify commerce by providing a one-stop payment platform for all customer segments. The Complete Payments team specifically needs to design and build solutions supporting their merchant engagement strategy, focusing on delivering high customer value at scale, especially to the Partner & SMB segment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software design, development and architecture.
- Applied software quality tools and processes successfully for your teams.
- Delivered projects using agile methodologies.
- Designed and implemented high-traffic front or backend services.
- Worked in projects using SQL and NoSQL solutions.
- You have coached engineers, advocated good coding practices, processed adherence and continuous improvement in these areas.
- Been in a project requiring you to effectively collaborate with remote teams across geographies and time zones.
Responsibilities
- Own concrete outcomes by building and rolling out technical and functional products and features.
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to the timelines, quality, and performance requirements.
- Build, nurture, and grow the engineering team to deliver relevant features and capabilities, while helping them grow their career at PayPal.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to other software engineers.
- Apply best of class coding and design standards.
- Identify areas of technical improvement and make detailed business cases for improvements or new areas of opportunities.
- Designed and implemented high-traffic front or backend services.

- Led a team of at least 8 engineers for more than 3 years.
