Atlassian Software Engineer to develop, test and deploy new capabilities in Every Defect Matters application. EDM (Every Defect Matters) is an initiative that will ultimately aggregate defects across all sources, and manage remediation plans, owners and timelines. EDM represents a better, consistent way to manage defects across Dell Technologies Services
Requirements
- Strong foundation in core computer science principles—such as data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design—paired with proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, C, JavaScript).
 
- Fundamental understanding of version control concepts and databases (SQL/PostgreSQL).
 
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
 
- Knowledge of software testing principles and frameworks.
 
- basic understanding of the concept of software development methodologies such as (Agile/Scrum) would be a plus.
 
Responsibilities
- Write clean, efficient, and well-structured code for new features and applications while actively participating in peer code reviews—providing and receiving constructive feedback to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
 
- Actively participate in the testing and Quality Assurance (QA) process, which includes writing unit tests, identifying bugs, and troubleshooting complex issues in existing and new codebases.
 
- Work closely with senior engineers, designers, project managers, and other stakeholders within an Agile or Scrum environment to understand user requirements and deliver cohesive software solutions.
 
- Assist with ongoing software maintenance, including performing updates and creating clear, detailed technical documentation, flowcharts, and diagrams for future reference and upgrades.
 
- Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, demonstrating a passion for continuous learning and professional growth through mentorship and training opportunities.
