WeeghmanBriggs is seeking a Software Engineer 1 to support an important mission within the Federal Government by developing graphical user interfaces and dashboards, deploying and managing applications in an AWS cloud environment, integrating new functionality, automating workflows, and integrating AI/ML models.
Requirements
- Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Typescript (preferred)
- Proficiency in at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Experience building responsive and accessible web interfaces.
- Solid understanding of AWS core services (EC2, S3, Lambda, 1AM, API Gateway, DynamoDB/RDS).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Step Functions).
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain user-friendly GUIs and interactive dashboards.
- Design, deploy, and manage applications and infrastructure in AWS.
- Integrate new features and functionalities into existing tools.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated workflows to streamline processes.
- Integrate Al/ML models into existing systems to enhance functionality and improve decision-making.
- Monitor and optimize automated workflows and Al/ML model performance.
- Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong analytical skills, and experience with Agile development methodologies.
