Cisco IT is looking for a Software Development Engineer to develop, integrate, test, and deploy highly scalable and robust software for Cisco's next generation of IT software.
Requirements
- 5+ years of dedicated software development experience with a strong emphasis on modern front-end frameworks, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience with React or Angular.
- Proven experience working with cloud platforms and streaming technologies, robust knowledge of Java and caching mechanisms, and practical experience with Elasticsearch and CockroachDB.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with complex data structures, Kafka, and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for logging and analytics.
- 1 year of minimum experience using AI in the SDLC with in-depth knowledge of building engineering productivity and reducing cycle time
- Proven track record of designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge AI assistant experiences.
Responsibilities
- Craft and develop private and public cloud software with integrated automation and monitoring tools
- Work with software development teams in an Agile DevOps model
- Operate within a highly Agile development environment.
- End-to-End System Ownership from design to develop to deploy and include AI into the fabric of execution
- Solve complex problems with accelerated development methodologies with a secure application posture.
Other
- The preferred location for this role is RTP, North Carolina, US. Onsite 2 days a week.
- We are looking for strong collaborators and self-starters who will take initiative and require minimal mentorship.
- Communications, both written and verbal, must be excellent, and an ability and desire to work with teams that span the globe is needed.
