Microsoft's Core AI team is looking to redefine software development and experience using Generative AI. The 1ES (One Engineering System) team aims to empower Microsoft's engineering teams with world-class tools and systems to improve product delivery. Specifically, this role will help define the future of engineering systems and developer productivity by building high-scale distributed services for test automation and utilizing AI agents to reduce build validation time for Microsoft engineers.
Requirements
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 2+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production-grade software and services at scale
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, OR Python
- 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, OR Python
- 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, or Python
Responsibilities
- Contribute to design, development and delivery of 1ES services, primarily pertaining to test automation and software validation.
- Contribute to the development of core platform components and reusable building blocks that accelerate team velocity.
- Drive operational excellence in managing and operating large-scale distributed systems with a high bar for service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Holds accountability as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), working on-call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
- Perform root cause analyses (RCAs) for live site incidents and outages.
- Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns, especially in the domain of AI Agents
- Contribute to the development of design documents, customer-facing documentation and DRI guides.

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
