Requirements
- Develops and maintains Java-based services using Spring, Junit, REST, and relational databases.
- Demonstrated proficiency and experience necessary to develop moderately complex software in Java, Spring framework, Spring Boot, JDBC, Kafka, Git, and Maven.
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains Java-based services using Spring, Junit, REST, and relational databases.
- Works collaboratively with stakeholders and other Garmin associates in cross functional teams to achieve goals and meet deadlines
- Provides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques
- Performs technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems
- Applies a sense of urgency, commitment, and focus on the right priorities in developing solutions in a timely fashion
- Estimates level of effort, evaluates new options of similar technology and offers suggestions to improve processes
- Supports working hours as part of a rotating schedule to provide on call support of Garmin’s 24/7 operations
