Customers are expecting best in class AI tools to improve their productivity with Microsoft 365 Copilot. The Copilot Pages and Notebooks team needs to build out the fundamentals team responsible for managing REST APIs, engineering systems, and web application performance to ensure a scalable, reliable, and performant service.
Requirements
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 2+ years of experience supporting a live service. Relevant experience can include being an on call engineer, working on deployment infrastructure, or managing livesite processes and procedures for a team.
- 2+ years working on service maturity and fundamentals. Relevant experience can include working on applying security best practices, working on reducing the cost of running a service, or working to apply industry best practices to an existing service.
- 2+ years working on measuring the reliability of an existing service and making direct technical contributions that resulted in the improvement of the availability of the service.
- Experience working on projects to improve the quality of large scale services.
- Experience in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.
Responsibilities

- drive meaningful improvements to availability and latency of our services
- Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.
- Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.
- Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.
- Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
