Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Software Development or Infrastructure Engineering
- Strong background in infrastructure with experience in AWS and cloud services
- Familiarity with developer tooling and improving developer experience using data-driven metrics
- Skills to identify and resolve issues using observability tools
- Some experience with, or interest in learning Ruby to maintain Ruby-based internal tools
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools, preferably Terraform
- Solid understanding of containerized applications and deployment processes
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure and developer tooling that empower Homebase engineers to deliver exceptional software.
- Lead improvements to internal developer tools that streamline workflows and reduce friction in the software lifecycle.
- Drive the optimization of our AWS infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Influence infrastructure architecture decisions by evaluating and implementing emerging cloud technologies and best practices.
- Serve as a point of contact for infrastructure needs and on-call rotations, helping teams resolve questions and incidents.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across engineering teams to accelerate impact.
- Experiment with AI-powered observability, automation, and workflow retooling to continuously improve developer velocity.
