Requirements
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Uderstanding of Windows app ecosystem or experience in Windows Programming WinRT/COM with solid understanding of the Windows architecture.
- Proficiency in full-stack development, including both frontend (e.g., React, xmal, Java, JavaScript) and backend (e.g., .NET, or Azure-based services).
- Proficient problem solving and debugging skills.
- Drive improvements in engineering practices, including CI/CD, testing, observability, and operational excellence.
- Stay current with industry trends and apply new technologies and practices to improve the product and development process.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Windows app distribution components and the foundational layers of the Microsoft Store application.
- Work on delivering reliable, scalable, and performant infrastructure that enables seamless app experiences for millions of users.
- Deepen your understanding of Windows app distribution architecture, build scalable systems that power the Microsoft Store experience, and grow your engineering skills through hands-on contributions to critical platform components.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into scalable design specifications.
- Independently design, implement, and maintain features and services with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for critical services, leading incident response and driving root cause analysis and long-term fixes.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and help evolve the system design to meet future scalability and reliability goals.
