Microsoft Teams is looking for a Software Engineer II to lead efforts in the Teams Rooms on Android team, tackling challenges in the collaboration and hybrid workplace space with a customer-centric focus, working in close collaboration with multiple partner teams on technologies across the company and beyond. The role involves leveraging AI technology to build customer experiences and focusing on real-time communication and cutting-edge Android technologies.
Requirements
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- 1+ years of Android development experience, including but not limited to hands-on proficiency with Java, Kotlin, and various open-source Android libraries and frameworks.
- 1+ years of hands on experience leveraging AI coding tools like Github Copilot.
- 1+ years understanding of Android Open Source Project (AOSP) internals as well as android frameworks like Jetpack Compose.
- Experience working in Kotlin ecosystem and deep understanding of Kotlin Coroutines.
- Knowledge of end to end software development life cycle including unit testing, UI testing.

- Ramp up quickly on new technologies and adopt solution from within the company or from the Open Source community.
