PayPal, Inc. seeks to design, develop, test, and implement new software modules, applications, and optimized features to address product/functionality gaps and support solution delivery.

Requirements

  • Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC: Proficiency in building and maintaining highly scalable applications using Java 8, Spring Boot, Spring MVC (4 years)
  • Hibernate, JPA: Leverage Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks like Hibernate and JPA to build highly reliable data access modules that can be leveraged across our platform (2 years)
  • REST APIs: Experience in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful web services, with a strong focus on implementing robust and scalable API endpoints (3 years)
  • Oracle 11g or other DBMS: Strong SQL and Transactional Database knowledge required (4 years)
  • Git, Jenkins: Strong experience with version control systems and build tools like Github and Jenkins to create and maintain CI/CD pipelines (3 years)
  • Junit, Mockito: Proficiency in writing Unit Tests for the source code to ensure the stability and consistency of our applications and their functionality (4 years)
  • Docker: Experience in working with containerized applications to troubleshoot any deployment issues (1 year)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and implement new software modules, applications, and optimized features.
  • Participate in architectural discussions that involve multiple systems to identify product/functionality gaps and collaborate with internal product and technology teams to define the necessary software development to support solution delivery.
  • Identify and troubleshoot integration or technical software issues.
  • Demonstrate engineering excellence by creating reusable, production-ready frameworks.
  • Understand authentication and authorization best practices for distributed applications.
  • Write and execute automated unit, functional, and integration tests and be familiar with test frameworks and tools like TestNG, JUnit, Mockito, and JaCoCo.
