Optum Services, Inc. is looking to solve the problem of developing and maintaining high-quality software applications to support its healthcare business, by hiring a Software Engineer to work on designing, building, and deploying software solutions.
Requirements
- Programming Languages: Java and SQL
- Frameworks: Spring and Hibernate
- Databases: MySQL, SQL Databases, Mongo Databases, or NoSQL Databases
- Cloud Services: Aws or Azure
- Build Tools: Maven
- Version Control: GIT
- Logging & Monitoring: Splunk or Grafana
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs
- Work as a part of our core engineering team to ensure the highest standards of design, implementation, performance, and security
- Design and build upcoming new features
- Support and extend existing features
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily stand ups and sprint retrospectives, contribute to team planning and improvement processes
- Review requirements and develop technical solutions to meet requirements
- Assist in the development and maintenance of REST APIs using different Java Frameworks
Other
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation
- Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.
