Captivation is looking for a senior level DevOps Engineer to design, develop and maintain a comprehensive distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systems to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of HPC infrastructure.
Requirements
- Experience using the Linux CLI
- Experience using Linux tools and developing Bash scripts to automate manual processes
- Recent software development experience using Python
- Experience using Splunk for data collection, message brokers, data storage, and presentation tools
- Experience interfacing with Log Management tools including Syslog-ng and rsyslog
- Experience with Message Brokers including Kafka
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools including Ansible
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing and maintaining a comprehensive distributed Metrics and Monitoring solution for HPC systems
- Ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of HPC infrastructure
- Automating manual processes using Linux tools and Bash scripts
- Developing software using Python
- Interfacing with Log Management tools including Syslog-ng and rsyslog
- Working with Message Brokers including Kafka
- Implementing IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools including Ansible
Other
- Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE
- Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE
