FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is looking to solve the problem of making it easier for buyers and sellers to transact across all screens, data types, and sales channels by providing comprehensive ad platforms for publishers, advertisers, and media buyers.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, Azure, or GCP)
  • Practical experience with a range of programming (Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, etc.)
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman, etc.)
  • Experience with database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, etc.)
  • Familiarity with microservices and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or EKS (AWS or OCI)
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Terraform

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering leadership to gather requirements for components, applications, services, platforms and other technical solutions.
  • Possess hands-on experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, Azure, or GCP); with a good understanding of automation, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native tools.
  • Practical experience with a range of programming (Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, etc.), build (GitHub, Bitbucket, Maven, etc.), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Podman, etc.), database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, etc.), and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, Trello).
  • Develop an understanding of the larger (Freewheel) Engineering ecosystem, contributing to 'buy vs. build vs. broker' discussions.
  • Ensure that delivered software solutions are scalable, available, and maintainable.
  • Create automated unit and integration tests, validating adherence to requirements and preventing escaped defects.
  • Implement software solutions which adhere to Freewheel's engineering standards.

Other

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to adapt and contribute in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
