Beautiful.ai is looking to solve the problem of making it easy for anyone to make beautiful presentations, in minutes, by developing and maintaining key features of their product.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with react, typescript, javascript, and full stack development is required.
  • Experience contributing to the development and delivery of product features as part of a team.
  • Client Side: React, Webpack, vanilla Typsescript/Javascript for SVG layout, rendering, and styling
  • Server Side: Node.js with Express for API and server side rendering, various distributed node.js microservices
  • Infrastructure on Google Cloud: App Engine, Firebase, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Stackdriver, Storage
  • JavaScript, Node.js, React, CSS, and MongoDB
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering, with a product development focus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain core product features using JavaScript, Node.js, React, and MongoDB, while ensuring the quality and performance of the codebase.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to understand requirements and help design solutions that meet business and technical needs.
  • Write clean, maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices, and ensuring scalability and performance as you implement new features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, from fixing bugs to optimizing system performance, contributing to the overall health of the platform.
  • Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to peers and continuously improving the quality of the codebase.
  • Continuously learn and grow, expanding your skills and expertise while taking on more complex tasks and contributing to team-wide initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents during on-call rotations, ensuring minimal downtime and fast recovery.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to teammates and ask questions to clarify product requirements.
  • Bay Area candidates preferred, or open to occasional travel as needed.
