The AOS Engineering team at WellSky is looking for a Software Engineer to build and optimize comprehensive software solutions that prioritize end-user efficiency and experience, contributing to the future of healthcare technology.
Requirements
- Experience developing with .NET, using C or Java
- Familiarity with Angular or React (Angular preferred for web; React Native used for mobile)
- Interest or hands-on experience with AI development tools like GitHub Copilot or Copilot Studio
- Solid understanding of unit testing and automated testing practices
- Comfort working in Agile environments, including tools like JIRA and participation in Scrum and sprint planning
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS or Azure
- Familiarity with HL7 standards and interoperability protocols used in clinical data exchange
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain features and components of WellSky solutions with an emphasis on code quality, performance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with solution managers, designers, and other teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-impact features that align with business goals.
- Identify and resolve technical issues in production and development environments.
- Optimize system performance and scalability through troubleshooting and ongoing improvements.
- Prepare technical documentation and participate in code reviews to ensure that software code meets internal standards and follows industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain a robust set of unit tests and participate in other styles of automated testing, including integration, load, and performance testing to validate quality of code written.
- Leverage common GenAI tools for AI assisted development and understand the basics of prompt engineering.

- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least 2-4 years relevant work experience
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
- Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
