Boeing is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to support the requirements, development, and verification of the Mobility Air Force (MAF) Global Mobility Special Mission (GM SM) Mission Planning Systems for the US Air Force Airspace Mission Planning Division. The role involves advancing mission planning software solutions for various military aircraft platforms and transitioning software into an Open Mission System Architecture utilizing Kubernetes and containerization technologies.

Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, testing, and maintenance of software products, ensuring high quality and reliability throughout the lifecycle.
- Translate customer requirements into detailed software designs, ensuring alignment with project goals and technical standards.
- Develop, enhance, and optimize software solutions for system integration, ensuring seamless interoperability across platforms.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectures, algorithms, interfaces, and system requirements.
- Identify and resolve software issues through debugging and troubleshooting, maintaining system stability and performance.
- Research and implement emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve software capabilities and compliance with evolving regulations.
- Establish and monitor software development processes, tools, and key performance metrics to meet organizational and industry standards.

- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- at least 10 years of experience in software development
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing projects or teams for a minimum of five years
