Wyetech is looking to hire a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance complex software systems for federal government customers, including processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, and large data set manipulation.
Requirements
- Experience developing in Unix.
- Ability to perform shell scripting.
- Working knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) tools and Web Services implementation.
- Experience using the Linux CLI
- Experience developing and maintaining scripts using Bash/Python
- Experience installing, configuring, and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, libraries, and packages in a Linux environment
- Recent software development experience using Python
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, tests, deploys, documents, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements.
- Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
- Resolves software problem reports.
- Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
- Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Open-Source Software (OSS) and/or Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining a system that manages access to HPC resources in a large multi-tenant containerized Kubernetes Linux environment.
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards and conferring with users or system engineers; analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigating problem areas.

- United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus ten (10) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twelve (12) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Telework: 16 hours/week based on tasks
