Optum is looking to build a green-field, AWS-based set of applications using microservice and serverless technology to improve health outcomes by connecting people with the care, pharmacy benefits, data and resources they need.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in one or more accepted enterprise languages is required, prefer GoLang and Python
- AWS experience is preferred, of course, but not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factor
- Executes moderate complexity software engineering assignments when provided high level business requirements
- Ability to break down requirements into deliverable elements, creates documentation
- Estimate and plan for task-level assignments, educates and experiments with new technology and concepts
- Produces quality code with minimal defects
- Familiar with established DevOps practices
- Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions using no-code, low-code, and advanced platforms, translating business needs into scalable applications that enhance products, workflows and decision-making

- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 4+ years of Software Engineer experience
