Schwab Wealth & Asset Management Engineering (WAME) Technology is looking to hire a Quant Developer to support Schwab's Research, Investment management, and Trading platforms, aiming to differentiate Schwab's portfolio research, asset & wealth management through state-of-the-art technologies.
Requirements
- Experience in financial industry developing quantitative models
- At least 3 years' experience building software in Python or R
- Strong proficiency in Python, MongoDB or other SQL/no-SQL database, Time-series data, Plotly/ charting
- At least 3-years of professional experience
- Recent experience working in Agile teams
- Some experience with cloud/ cloud foundry platform; AWS will be a plus
- Full-Stack with experience in HTML5, Angular/Backbone, JavaScript, JQuery
Responsibilities
- managing the software development lifecycle including the coordination, prioritization and communication across the business product areas
- building and realizing the strategy for the teams to support the dynamic needs of the WAME business
- hands-on development role, building a client driven technology organization
- entails full Agile - designs/develops software solutions and business process solutions based on business needs
- Lead application components of moderate complexity, with guidance from manager
- Provide technical design input in overall project
- Focus on quality based on Schwab's standards

- A university degree from a well-respected academic institution; advanced degrees in Information management, Computer Science, Business Administration and/or other professional certifications are a plus
