Stainless is seeking a Software Engineer, Applied AI to work closely with top AI labs like OpenAI and Anthropic to help them architect, launch, and scale their APIs with Stainless. The role involves solving ambiguous, high-impact problems alongside teams shaping the future of AI.

- Broad polyglot experience and enthusiasm for working across multiple programming languages
- Experience using AI to generate high-quality code

Responsibilities
- Work directly with critical customers like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Cloudflare to evolve their SDKs through the release of new features
- Contribute to customer SDKs by writing helpers, utilities, and extensions for advanced use cases like structured outputs and tool-calling
- Operate across all programming languages Stainless supports, learning new ones as needed
- Build AI-powered tooling to configure new users’ SDKs, translate custom solutions across multiple languages, and create demos for prospective customers
- Write great documentation, contribute to the website, and improve the overall developer experience
- Improve Stainless’s SDK code generation to support new use cases
- Create examples, demos, and other resources to support new feature releases
