GSE Solutions is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to assist with the enhancement, testing, configuration, and deployment of state-of-the-art simulation and engineering software applications.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining software applications, preferably in AWS cloud environments
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate development and deployment tasks
  • Experience developing, modifying, and supporting engineering or enterprise-level software applications
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams and independently managing technical deliverables
  • Familiarity with software testing practices and delivering quality documentation
  • Strong scripting and automation skills

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, develop/modify software applications and configurations based on customer and business needs, collaborating with stakeholders and assisting software development leads
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain several engineering applications and software tools for internal and external customers (primarily in the AWS cloud infrastructure)
  • Prepare environments for software development and delivery, including development of scripts to automate tasks and increase operational efficiency
  • Develop and conduct software tests and enhance product documentation to ensure quality deliverables and customer satisfaction
  • Support internal and external customers/partners in resolving technical issues, providing guidance and assistance in training
  • Work independently as well as within the team to accomplish tasks
