Cisco IT is looking to develop, integrate, test, and deploy highly scalable and robust software, including private and public cloud software with integrated automation and monitoring tools, and to implement and deploy Cisco's next generation of IT software.
Requirements
- 5+ years of dedicated software development experience with a strong emphasis on modern front-end frameworks, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience with React and/or Angular
- Validated experience working with On-Prem & cloud platforms and streaming technologies, robust knowledge of Java and caching mechanisms, and practical experience with Oracle, Elasticsearch and MongoDB
- 5 years of experience working with complex data structures, Kafka, and the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for logging and analytics
- 1 year minimum experience using AI in the SDLC with in-depth knowledge of building engineering productivity and reducing cycle time
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts – 1 year minimum experience using AI in the SDLC with in-depth knowledge of building engineering productivity and reducing cycle time
- Prompt Engineering Basics – Experience or exposure to crafting effective prompts for LLMs like GPT, Claude, or open-source models
- Experience with LLM APIs – Hands-on experience with OpenAI API, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, or similar tools
Responsibilities
- Craft and develop private and public cloud software with integrated automation and monitoring tools
- Work with software development teams in an Agile DevOps model
- Operate within a highly Agile development environment
- End-to-End System Ownership from design to develop to deploy and include AI into the fabric of execution
- Solve complex problems with accelerated development methodologies with a secure application posture
- Develop software with modern front-end frameworks, including React and/or Angular
- Work with On-Prem & cloud platforms and streaming technologies
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical work experience demonstrating a strong foundation in software development
- Ability to work from home is needed
- Communications, both written and verbal, must be excellent, and an ability and desire to work with teams that span the globe is needed
- Flexibility is key
- Onsite approximately 3 days a week
