Actalent is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to develop spacecraft flight software using C and C++
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in spacecraft flight software development using C and C++
- Proficiency in embedded software development and software/hardware integration
- Skilled in Rust, Python, Git, Docker, and Linux
- Experience with spacecraft sensors and NASA's flight software framework
- Proficiency with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
- Experience with cross-compilation
- Familiarity with Linux
Responsibilities
- Write and develop spacecraft flight software using C and C++
- Perform embedded software development and cross-compilation
- Integrate software with hardware components
- Utilize Rust, Python, Git, Docker, and Linux in software development
- Work with spacecraft sensors including RGB and infrared cameras, lidars, and laser range finders
- Collaborate on projects using cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Participate in software/hardware testing and integration
Other
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Green-Card Holder)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred
- Availability for software/hardware testing and integration in the Denver area
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment
