Requirements
- Experience with software installation and validation.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages.
- Familiarity with aviation and air traffic control processes.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and software validation techniques.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and validate TFDM software components on operational hardware.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure successful software deployment at field sites and lab environments.
- Assist in the modernization of air traffic control tower equipment through improved electronic flight data exchange and implementation of electronic flight strips.
- Streamline departures on the airport surface to enhance fuel efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.
- Enhance collaboration and decision-making capabilities between the gate and the tower to optimize the experience for the flying public, Air Traffic Control (ATC), and the airline industry.
Other
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field.
- Previous experience with FAA systems and air traffic control.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- At least 6 years of relevant engineering/aviation experience.
- Travel to various Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCCs) may be required to complete technical work.
