Amentum is seeking a SW Developer to support NSWC Dahlgren H20 by developing code for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Fire Control System.
Requirements
- One or more of the following high-level computer languages: C/C++, Java, Ada
- RedHat operating system, using standard UNIX/Linux tools and utilities
- Implementation of track modeling and time algorithms
- Inter-process communications based on publish/subscribe and client server models using TCP/IP sockets
- Experience with design, development, and documentation of surface ship-related computer programs in high-order languages for microprocessor-based through medium scale computer systems environment, including experience with simulation systems, situational awareness systems and simulation systems that integrate with tactical systems.
- Demonstrated capability developing software in a multi-threaded/multi-process environment.
- Experience using NetBeans Integrated Development Environment.
Responsibilities
- Working with a small Undersea Warfare (USW) SW development team
- Developing code for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Fire Control System
- Identifying and communicating development concerns to leadership

- Meeting weekly with leadership to provide project status
- Working onsite at NSWC Dahlgren
- A Bachelor’s of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline and at least Two (2) years of professional experience providing technical support in software requirement analysis, and designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software
- Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance.
- US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
