The company is looking to solve the problem of capturing data, converting it into a neutral format, and building platforms with common application programming interfaces across production and engineering systems, by hiring a Digital Transformation Engineer (DX).
Requirements
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and metrics logging on deployed applications
- Ability to design relational data models and query databases using SQL (specifically PostgreSQL)
- Ability to program in HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and C++
- GraphQL and React knowledge highly desirable
- Familiarity with software project management patterns, the SDLC, and fluency in using Git
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system and the ability to manage applications therein
- Familiarity with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems
Responsibilities
- Lead projects, research, and tests in finding solutions to improve current production methods
- Conduct studies to maximize workflow, machine and personnel, and spatial utilization
- Research multiple platforms related to DX and Industry 4.0 for possible DX solutions
- Set area project timelines, deliverable deadlines, and monitor and summarize progress of projects
- Develop possible solutions or phase approach solutions towards a DX goal
- Maintain system and system structure standards for future troubleshooting and reference
- Assist in the coordination of tasks and solutions needed to achieve manufacturing goals
Other
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, Information/Data Management, Management Information Systems/Technology, or a related field
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, organizational, interpersonal, communication skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Ability to provide exceptional service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, display passion and commitment towards finding creative and efficient solutions to analytical problems
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects while maintaining predetermined job priorities
