Baxter is looking to solve business and technical problems related to their Novum Pump Platform (NPP), a state-of-the-art infusion platform designed to deliver life-saving medication. The role involves ensuring these pumps meet the highest safety standards and contributing to the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of optimal, cost-effective projects and technologies for the platform.
Requirements
- Familiarity with C/C++
- Familiarity with Python, MATLAB or other object-oriented programming languages
- Familiarity with Linux a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop software in C/C++ and Python for embedded devices.
- Write design specifications.
- Write test procedures.
- Attend and participate in technical reviews of NPP project.
- Investigate and analyze customer service problems and design improvement suggestions.
- Recommend design improvements.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of components of the development process, which apply to product revision or enhancement or a defined piece of a larger project.
Other
- Act independently with minimal supervision to conduct smaller approved projects.
- Expected to make suggestion on improvements based on recent technical knowledge.
- Able to contribute to cost estimating of major capital budget items and the spending of approved project funds.
- Ability to manage routine small projects without assistance.
