ARES Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Nation's ballistic missile defense program by improving cybersecurity in large, complex defense systems through security control assessment, vulnerability assessment, software assurance, and risk assessment.
Requirements
- 7 years of software and development experience with a minimum of 3+ years’ hands-on experience working with DevSecOps/AGILE related technologies.
- Experience working with DevSecOps/AGILE related technologies.
- Experience with static and dynamic code scanners.
- Experience with automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/ CD pipelines) in cloud and other virtual environments.
Responsibilities
- Performs research, analysis, and data gathering activities while conducting threat, vulnerability, and capability maturity assessments.
- Applies critical thinking, conducts gap analyses, and develops implementation plans for the improvement of cybersecurity in large, complex defense systems.
- Participates in the research, analysis, design, testing and implementation of complex computer network security/protection technologies for company information and network systems/applications.
- Creates and implements systems software environments to analyze data, deploy and configure static and dynamic code scanners, and have a clear understanding of various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/ CD pipelines) in cloud and other virtual environments.
- Operates across Cybersecurity Vulnerability Assessment and Cybersecurity Software Assurance Assessment tasks.

- This position is an on-site role in Huntsville, Alabama (Redstone Arsenal).
- Requires Secret clearance.
- Security Clearance requirement is Top Secret.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
