Applied Research Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the ASSETS program at Offutt AFB, NE, requiring expertise in software engineering to review, prepare, analyze documentation, and contribute to software development and testing.
Requirements
- Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered an expert in their technical/professional field, possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and midlevel personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
- Will demonstrate advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures and practices in their area of expertise.
- Advanced Degree (MA/MS) and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 years of which must be in the DoD OR, BA/BS degree, and 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD OR, 20 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally
- Non-Functionally Aligned Recommended Education and Experience: GED, 10 years of experience in the respective profession being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD.
Responsibilities
- reviewing, preparing, and analyzing all types of documentation: Planning, requirements, design, support and test.
- Determining operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Documenting and demonstrating solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
- Improving operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
- Performing Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to ensure that developed software meets and complies with defined or standardized quality specifications.
- Elaborate high level feature/function descriptions into detailed technical designs and tasks, in collaboration with users and government lead engineers.
- Perform coding tasks for features/functions.
