Mission Solutions Group (MSG) is seeking a skilled Software Engineer 1 to build robust applications that integrate frontend and backend technologies, focusing on web development and desktop application development, with a strong background in full-stack development, DevOps practices, and Windows systems management.
Requirements
- Proficiency in frontend technologies.
- Experience building Windows services in C-Sharp, Python, or C++.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, containerization).
- Solid understanding of Windows OS management and remote machine handling.
- Experience with video streaming (hosting and consumption).
- Working knowledge of network/system architecture.
- Experience with monitoring frameworks such as Open Telemetry.
Responsibilities
- Develop web applications and desktop applications, with a preference for candidates experienced in web technologies.
- Apply DevOps skills to automate deployment, integration, and infrastructure management processes.
- Demonstrate general knowledge of Windows OS, including system bootup procedures and managing remote machines.
- Handle video streaming tasks, including hosting and consuming streams efficiently.
- Build and maintain front-end components using React and TypeScript for responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Develop backend services with Node.js, implementing RESTful APIs and gRPC for efficient communication.
- Create Windows services using languages such as C-Sharp, Python, or C++ to support system-level operations.

- 5+ years of software experience as a Software Developer or similar role.
- U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
- Compliance of Executive Order 14042 (COVID-19 Workplace Safety Guidance)
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable speaking with both internal collaborative partners and external mission partners.
