Microsoft's Commerce Platform & Experience (CPX) is looking for Software Engineers to build foundational components for a rapidly growing commerce platform, aiming to deliver substantial customer impact and power global commerce.

Requirements

  • Proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Experience designing and implementing large-scale cloud services.
  • Experience building extensible, maintainable services designed for long-term scalability and reliability.
  • Experience designing, developing, and shipping software solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with UX technologies such as Angular or React.
  • Experience building scalable web services, REST APIs, and working with SQL/NoSQL data stores.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, scalability patterns, and high-availability design.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, implements, and maintains scalable, secure, and high-performance services.
  • Contributes to architecture and design discussions, leveraging AI tools and cloud technologies.
  • Drives detailed design and implementation based on functional requirements.
  • Ensures high availability and reliability of services to meet global customer SLAs.
  • Implements best practices for safe, efficient releases and operational excellence.
  • Experience designing and implementing large-scale cloud services.
  • Experience building extensible, maintainable services designed for long-term scalability and reliability.

Other

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to define user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Supports identification of dependencies and contributes to the development of design documents for product features under guidance.
  • Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for monitoring and resolving system issues using established playbooks.
  • Partners with teams across geographies to deliver value through collaboration.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
