The Ohio State University's Health System Shared Services is looking to improve business processes and leverage existing solutions within the organization through custom web application development.
Requirements
- Experience in the full software development lifecycle, particularly within Agile/Scrum environments, including design, development, and deployment of high-quality software through collaborative teamwork
- Experience in web application development / design using MVC, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, jQuery and other JavaScript Libraries
- Experience in application and microservice development using languages such as ASP.NET Core / C#
- Experience with MS SQL Server for Database Design, Reporting Services, and Integration Services
- Experience with cloud technologies or a strong ability to quickly learn and adapt, enabling effective contributions to cloud-based solutions
- Experience in the DevOps area, with a good understanding of CI/CD practices, automation tools, and infrastructure as code, to enhance development and operational efficiency
- Awareness of security and accessibility practices in software design, with a willingness to implement them under guidance
Responsibilities
- Participate in project teams and the development and implementation processes that will deploy, maintain and monitor custom applications / websites for the medical center
- Leverage vendor products/platforms for CI/CD, application monitoring and application unit testing
- Lead the IT cross functional project teams to build the structures and services in a consistent repeatable manner
- Test and troubleshoot limited complexity applications
- Follow the department's processes such as project, change, incident and risk assessment management
- Develop and integrate solutions using analysts to understand business processes and systems, and technical and solution architects to validate the technical direction of the designed solution
- Deploy, maintain and monitor custom applications / websites for the medical center

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Typically has 2-4 years of experience in Information Technology (preferably experience in Application Development, Software Engineering, etc.)
- Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check
