IBM Consulting is looking to advance the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) National Airspace System (NAS) through one of the nation’s most ambitious air traffic control transformation programs. Requirements
- Proven success leading implementations in 24/7 operational or mission-critical environments.
- Proficiency in project scheduling and resource management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Jira).
- Evaluate design feasibility within time, cost, and performance constraints.
- Work closely with analysts, engineers, and programmers to define system requirements, limitations, and performance parameters.
- Coordinate software installations and monitor system performance to ensure functionality meets specifications.
- Experience working with the FAA, NAS systems, or other federal transportation programs.
- Experience with complex, geographically distributed telecom deployments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in the design, development, testing, and application of electronic data processing software.
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug applications and systems with complex logical and mathematical components.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and equipment designers to plan, develop, and integrate software for electronic data processing systems.
- Analyze user needs and system capabilities to define requirements, resolve technical challenges, and ensure alignment with program objectives.
- Develop operating instructions, compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems as needed.
- Ensure compliance with established software engineering standards and best practices.
- Apply scientific analysis and mathematical modeling to design, develop, and enhance software systems.
