CFD Research is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development and sustainment of a simulation framework software for missile defense systems, including integration and deployment for test and analysis efforts with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems.
Requirements
- Strong containerization skills and experience (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, C, and Python, including object oriented.
- Experience with DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and scrum/agile software development
- Experience with MDA HWIL test and analysis and simulation frameworks
- Experience and working knowledge of missile defense architecture, including radars, fire control systems, launchers, and messaging protocols.
Responsibilities
- support the lifecycle of software development efforts, which include development, integration, and deployment for test and analysis efforts with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software & hardware, and all-digital representations of complex missile defense elements
- enhance their understanding of the missile defense system and how each element is integrated into framework for test campaigns

- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an Active Secret security clearance.
- This role is based in the Huntsville, AL area, and is 100% onsite.
