Moog's Military Aircraft Group is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to develop software for flight critical components for cutting-edge aircraft like the F-35 Lightning II and the V280 Valor.
Requirements
- 3+ yrs of experience in the design/development/test of embedded software
- Experience programming in C
- Programming experience in Python, MATLAB, Simulink, or similar platforms/programs.
- Experience with DO-178 Level A Development and Verification activities.
- Experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
- Experience in a Test/Development Lab environment.
- Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement software for use in real-time embedded aircraft control systems.
- Perform systems and software integration and verification activities using real and simulated hardware.
- Design and implement software that performs data acquisition and control for automated test equipment.
- Stay up-to-date on advances in technology and processes for continuous improvement of accuracy, reliability, and cost.
- Develop maintainable software interfaces to electrical and mechanical systems.
Other
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline, preferably Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar
- This position requires access to United States export-controlled information.
- The ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
- Domestic travel may be required as needed (up to 5%)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
