Peraton is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, integrate, and test advanced threat missile and radar simulation models that drive high-fidelity defense simulations to support national security missions by delivering realistic, validated models that enhance mission readiness and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C++ or MATLAB/Simulink, with hands-on experience in software development and model implementation.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools such as JIRA, GitLab, or similar collaboration platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to write efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop* high-fidelity threat missile and radar simulation models that accurately replicate real-world systems and behaviors.
- Enhance, maintain, and optimize existing models using advanced modeling and simulation tools to meet Missile and Space Intelligence Center (MSIC) delivery schedules.
- Integrate threat models into the JSE simulation architecture, performing detailed integration and regression testing to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Analyze simulation outputs, validate model performance against empirical data, and refine systems to achieve greater realism and predictive accuracy.
- Leverage technical data packages and intelligence sources to inform model development and support test planning and execution.

- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to successfully pass a polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven success working on cross-functional teams and communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
