The Swift Group is looking for a Software Engineer to develop, deploy, and operationalize scalable applications and ML-driven solutions leveraging modern AWS cloud technologies, and to architect secure, high-performance systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Information Technology with a focus on software development in AWS cloud environments
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with full-stack engineering, including front-end, back-end, and database integration
  • Strong, repeat experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-grade applications in IL6+ AWS classified environments
  • Proven expertise in building large-scale, high-performance enterprise solutions within complex, heterogeneous AWS ecosystems
  • Experience performing automation, infrastructure, testing, data engineering, and security integration tasks within cloud-based DevSecOps environments
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, JavaScript, React, AngularJS, TypeScript, or NextJS
  • Experience developing and deploying AI/ML-driven applications in production environments

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy robust applications and data-driven services within AWS cloud environments
  • Collaborate with AI and data engineering teams to operationalize data pipelines and machine learning tasks
  • Provide day-to-day support for deploying Python-native ML pipelines and other cloud-based workloads
  • Contribute architectural leadership, technical guidance, and hands-on support for secure integration across mission systems
  • Support identity management system technologies, ensuring compliance with applicable security and accreditation requirements
  • Engage with senior technical leaders and government stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise in security architecture and cloud engineering
  • Promote continuous improvement and automation across development, deployment, and monitoring workflows

Other

  • US citizenship with active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Background in microservices architecture and RESTful API design
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and associated toolsets such as Jira and Confluence
  • Strong understanding of security best practices for cloud-native applications
