The Azure Cost Management and Pricing team is looking for a Software Engineer to help shape the future of cost transparency and pricing tools across Microsoft Azure, delivering solutions that help organizations visualize, monitor, and manage their cloud spend while planning future investments.
Requirements
- proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C-Sharp, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Software development experience.
- Experience building scalable web applications and/or RESTful APIs.
- coding in languages including, but not limited to, C-Sharp, Java, or TypeScript
- familiarity with Azure services and cloud cost management concepts.
- experience with backend services (e.g., .NET) and frontend frameworks (e.g., React).
- proficiency with pricing models and cost estimation tools in cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Designs and develop suser-facing experiences for Azure Cost Management, enabling customers to track cloud usage, analyze trends, and optimize efficiency.
- Builds and maintains robust APIs that power cost management dashboards and integrate with other Azure services.
- Contributes to Azure Pricing + Calculators, including services like Cost Card, Pricing Calculator, and Microsoft Pricing Experiences.
- Collaborates with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver seamless experiences on the Azure Marketing Site.
- Ensures high performance, reliability, and scalability of services used by millions of users globally.
- Drives engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.

- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
